Camp Lewtana

Welcome to Camp Lewtana

Sponsored by American Missionary Fellowship, Lewtana is located six miles south of Lewistown, Montana, nestled in the foothills of the beautiful Snowy Mountains. Lewtana provides a fun filled atmosphere without forgetting the main focus of camp:

To proclaim the free gift of salvation, through Jesus Christ, to each individual camper, to teach each camper to live by faith and rely fully on God for all things, and to challenge each camper to read God's word, the Bible, and grow from it daily.

Camps at Lewtana are planned to provide an exciting opportunity for kids of all ages to get out and enjoy interaction with others in a safe and closely monitored environment. All the activities are planned and organized by a well-trained staff, which desires to see your children come to know and love Christ personally, and grow with Him daily.

Our staff is carefully selected to ensure a safe and fun camp experience for your kids. They will make every effort to spend one-on-one time with each camper throughout the week, listening and encouraging each camper right where they are at in life, while challenging them to live the life that God has called them to.

Activities of camp include archery, rifle range shooting, water games, hikes, four-way grinder (tug-o-war), basketball, football, volleyball, swings, slide, and a horizontal climbing wall. In just one week of Camp, campers will build memories that will last a lifetime! Camp Lewtana has camps for all ages, so what are you waiting for? Register for a camp today!

About Camp Lewtana

Under the sponsorship of American Missionary Fellowship (AMF), Camp Lewtana was started in 1939 as a tent camp located in Cottonwood Creek in the Snowy Mountains. This tent camp was named Camp JE-SA-KI-LO, which stands for Jesus, Savior, King, Lord. In 1940, the land, where the present camp now sits, was purchased. In the early 1940's, CH Ramagost and Ken Janz(t) (spelling unknown) built the original log cabins by hand. These cabins can still be seen and are still in use at Lewtana. The name of the camp was then changed to Lewtana Bible Camp or Camp Lewtana. Camp Lewtana targets kids of all ages and provides a camp for all ages.

For 67 years, Camp Lewtana has reached many, many lives for Christ. Presenting the Gospel message of the work of Christ on the cross to all who come to camp remains the main goal of camp. Lewtana also seeks to teach the campers many fundamental truths that Christ teaches us through His word the Bible. Camp Lewtana will continue to reach every camper with the Gospel of Christ. Lewtana holds firm to many truths of the Bible, which can be reviewed by clicking on 'Core Values'.

Values at Camp Lewtana

We believe that there is one God, Creator, and Sustainer of the universe, existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe that the Bible is the verbally inspired Word of God, is inerrant in the original manuscripts, and is uniquely infallible, our only authority for faith and practice.

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His substitutionary sacrifice upon the cross, in His bodily resurrection, in His victory over sin and His enemy Satan, in His present exaltation at His Father's right hand, and in His personal return, at any time, in power and great glory.

We believe in the fall and the lostness of man, whose total depravity requires that he be regenerated by the Holy Spirit for his salvation.

We believe that salvation consists of the forgiveness of sins, the imputation of Christ's righteousness, and the gift of eternal life, received by grace through faith alone, entirely apart from works.

We believe in the ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life, and by whom the Church, the Body of Christ, is gifted and equipped to serve and glorify God.

We believe in the bodily resurrection of all mankind: those who have trusted in Christ, the ultimate Judge, will receive everlasting life and blessedness in heaven; those who have not will receive everlasting punishment and separation from the presence of God.

We believe that Christ has commanded His Church to preach the gospel to all people and that this mandate should be a primary concern of all Christians.
